Injuries are no fun!

Following these simple rules will help not only to keep you safe but also any spectators.

 

 

Beyond concerns for safety is concern for maintaining the luxury of having a terrific place to enjoy our sport.  Do your part to help maintain good relations with our landlord.

 

AMA Safety Rules

Flying Site Rules

Flying Site Safety Rules

  • It is strongly recommended that members do not fly alone.  If you insist upon flying alone, prominently display next-of-kin contact information in a location that is not likely to be compromised by heavy blood loss.
  • Control line equipment shall be inspected before first flight each day.
  • Planes will be pull-tested before beginning of flight operations and whenever lines are re-connected or changed.
  • Safety thongs are required per AMA rules (optional in racing events).
  • Children must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times.
  • Flight operations will stop during adverse atmospheric circumstances.
  • In case of emergency dial 9-1-1.  Our location is the southeast corner of the main parking area near the trees, accessible from Bagley Rd. entrance.
  • It is the responsibility of each flier to comply with AMA safety rules.
  • Compliance with AMA Safety Rules is a condition of flying privilege.

 

Flying Site Operational Rules

  • This site is restricted to Control Line model aircraft.
  • Academy of Model Aviation membership required.
  • No engine running before 8:00AM.
  • No flying after dusk.
  • Flight operations are permitted in designated areas only.
  • Only pilots, pit crew, trainers, or trainees are permitted in flying circle.
  • Spectators must remain clear of flying circles and pit area.
  • Mufflers are required on all engines over .19 cu. in.
  • Bird strikes are possible in this area, be on the lookout for flying foul.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on the grounds.
  • When leaving the site, police the area, put trash in receptacles if they are provided. If no receptacles are available, take your trash home, your trash man will come every week. Keep our field clean.
  • Compliance with site operational rules is a condition of flying privilege.
