I ordered this Brodak Smoothie ARF back in February of 2005. It didn't arrive until the end of September 2005. This photo was taken just prior to it's maiden voyage on October 4th, 2005 at the Berea Fairground NCCL "Circles".
I have to say that the assembly was a snap. Well, it's a good thing it was an ARF or I'd have been waiting until Spring to get it off the ground. It sports a rebuilt O.S. Max .40 FP.
As always, after all the checking is done, you never know what to expect. Wow, impressive. First flight was right-on. From the moment it left the ground, I new this aircraft was a WINNER! It was well worth the wait! |
